Key Responsibilities

Business & Functional Analysis

Conduct in-depth analysis of retail banking systems and processes.

Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Specification Documents (FSD) aligned with business objectives.

Perform Gap Analysis to identify discrepancies between current and target states and recommend improvements.

Data Mapping, Modeling & Profiling

Design data selection rules and map current state data for downstream processing.

Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure accurate data mapping and enhance usability for end-users.

Apply data modeling techniques to define logical and physical data structures that support scalable and efficient data solutions.

Data Warehouse & Data Mart Implementation

Proven track record in implementing data warehouse and data mart solutions to support enterprise data analytics and reporting.

Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data models, ETL rules, and integration strategies.

Data Mart-Centric Delivery

Lead the end-to-end delivery of data mart solutions, from requirements gathering and design to deployment and post-implementation support.

Drive roadmap planning and backlog grooming for data mart enhancements and new builds.

Translate business needs into detailed Functional specifications.

Ensure seamless integration of data marts with upstream and downstream systems to support business intelligence and analytics.

Stakeholder Engagement

Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

Experience in Hadoop Technologies

Databases: Hive, SQL, Oracle, DB2

Languages: JavaScript, Python

Web Technologies: REST APIs, JSON, XML

Data Analysis: Data Mapping, Modeling, Profiling (SQL-based), Rule Definitions

Data Warehousing: Strong experience in data warehouse and data mart design and implementation

Methodologies & Tools

Agile, Scrum, Jira, Confluence

SDM 5 Methodologies - Familiarity with the Software Delivery Methodology (SDM 5) framework for structured project execution and governance.

Documentation

Proficient in writing and managing BRDs and FSDs
