We are partnering with a leading global organisation to appoint an Assistant Vice President, Strategic Planning, sitting within their Group Strategy Office.
This is a high-impact role supporting senior leadership on enterprise-wide strategy, long-term planning, and transformation initiatives.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Group Strategic Planning, you will play a key role in shaping and driving strategic priorities across the organisation. This includes leading strategy projects, supporting the corporate planning cycle, and working closely with senior stakeholders to develop and execute business strategies across multiple markets.
You will also collaborate closely with adjacent functions including M&A, sustainability, and venture initiatives to deliver integrated, forward-looking strategic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver strategic projects and workstreams, providing actionable insights and structured recommendations to senior leadership
- Drive the annual and long-term planning cycle (including 5-year plans and annual budgets), partnering closely with Group Finance
- Support development of key strategic materials, including leadership communications, investor presentations, and board-level decks
- Synthesize inputs across business units into clear, cohesive narratives for executive decision-making forums
- Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and strategic partners
- Support group-level initiatives such as strategic partnerships and capability-building efforts
- Facilitate senior management forums, including executive and business council meetings
- Contribute to internal thought leadership and strategy capability-building initiatives
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in strategy consulting and/or corporate strategy, with exposure to business development
- Proven track record in delivering complex strategy projects in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Experience in technology or deep-tech sectors is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate insights into action
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leadership
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas clearly
- Self-starter with high resilience, adaptability, and attention to detail
