Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Administrator – L3 to manage, maintain, and support enterprise storage infrastructure across NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, and Brocade SAN environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for storage provisioning, performance optimization, high availability, disaster recovery, and L3 production support. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors, and expertise in ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of enterprise storage platforms.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support NetApp ONTAP, Dell EMC PowerMax, Pure Storage, and Brocade SAN environments.
- Manage storage provisioning, LUN creation, mapping, masking, snapshots, replication, and disaster recovery technologies such as SnapMirror and SRDF.
- Configure and maintain SAN fabrics, zoning, and storage connectivity.
- Monitor storage performance, utilization, and capacity, implementing tuning and optimization where required.
- Provide L3 support for critical storage incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Execute storage upgrades, firmware updates, patching, and lifecycle management following ITIL processes.
- Develop automation scripts using Python or Ansible to streamline provisioning, reporting, and operational tasks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and vendor support teams to maintain high service availability and support disaster recovery initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and storage standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience with NetApp AFF/FAS, ONTAP, Snapshots, SnapMirror, and SnapVault.
- Hands-on experience with Dell EMC PowerMax, Dell ECS, SRDF, Pure Storage FlashArray, and Brocade SAN Switches.
- Expertise in SAN administration, zoning, storage provisioning, replication, and performance tuning.
- Experience with storage monitoring tools such as Active IQ, Unisphere, and Pure1.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise storage environments in a 24x7 production environment.
- Knowledge of automation using Python or Ansible is preferred.
