Established in Melbourne in 2015, Airwallex is a global payments fintech transforming how businesses move and manage money domestically and internationally.
In today's fast-changing digital era, our purpose is to empower businesses of all sizes to grow in their markets and around the world, and by doing so, contribute to the global economy. With technology at our core, we built a proprietary global financial infrastructure platform to help businesses transact, collect, and pay in any foreign currency across 130+ countries and 50+ currencies, without the constraints of the traditional global financial system.
Responsibilities:
In this role, your primary focus is to elevate development efficiency and bolster system stability and capacity within the Payments Team. This involves a meticulous approach to stabilizing and securing the development environment while optimizing performance.
The overarching objective is to standardize the development process and lead the team in their day-to-day development endeavors.
- Functioning as a pivotal communication conduit. You'll bridge the gap between Payments Team business development engineers and the underlying infrastructure team. Rapid problem identification and collaborative resolution with other infrastructure teams are paramount for addressing internal needs, and implementing company-level systems or methodologies. Externally, your role extends to aiding the team in pinpointing and summarizing pain points, steering the construction, and upgrading of company-level tools and systems.
- Pioneering the establishment of a development tool ecosystem, optimizing development processes, and standardizing parallel systems for the Payments Team are key facets of your responsibilities. The ultimate goal is to alleviate the complexities associated with the development cycle.
- Providing technical consultation for the Payments Team is another crucial aspect of your role. From a technical and developmental optimization standpoint, you'll furnish invaluable development insights and refined solutions for business development engineers within the Payments Team. Your contributions will significantly impact the seamless implementation of projects, particularly for large, business-driven requirements, where systematic, common, and standardized solutions are paramount.
Your Expertise:
- We require a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with a demonstrated passion for development efficiency and expertise in infrastructure direction.
- Your commitment to ongoing specialization in this domain is crucial. The ability to independently execute development projects and proactively engage in effective communication and collaboration with other teams is a prerequisite.
- A comprehensive technical aptitude is anticipated, encompassing exposure to diverse foundational components, including various development frameworks, libraries (Circuit breaker), and relevant middleware development experience. Familiarity with Tooling, Metric Systems, and Logging Systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
