Job Summary
The Senior Staff Nurse delivers high-quality nursing care in the 24-Hour Urgent Care unit, ensuring compliance with hospital standards, supporting patient education, and assisting in clinic management and operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the 24-Hour Urgent Care unit, adhering to hospital nursing standards and quality procedures
- Support patient education and counselling to promote understanding and management of health conditions
- Assist the Head of Department in managing clinical and administrative functions to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Plan and coordinate staff deployment rosters to optimize workforce efficiency and coverage
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPI) and daily statistical data to support operational decision-making
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams through clear communication and teamwork to enhance patient care
- Demonstrate adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced healthcare environment to maintain service quality
- Uphold a strong commitment to patient safety and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with a positive attitude
- Go beyond standard duties to support patients well-being and comfort during their care journey
Required competencies and certifications
- Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board registration
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Experience in diabetes management and education for at least 4 years
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in hospital or clinic Accident & Emergency (A&E) settings
- Ability to work rotating shifts (3 shifts), 6 days per week
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in planning staff deployment rosters and managing day-to-day KPI monitoring and reporting
- Immediate availability to commence work is advantageous
