Job Description
The Nurse will be responsible to provide professional nursing service within Diagnostic Imaging Suite in accordance with established nursing policies and procedure and standard operating procedures of the nursing care and practices together high level of service quality, patient care, efficiency and productivity.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To provide a high standard of care to patients through care management, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to meet the needs of the patients.
- Ensure that stocks are available for procedures when needed.
- Explain the examination to patient, what he / she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it, and obtain the necessary consent when required.
- Assist Radiologist in Interventional procedures.
- Ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation.
- Perform the documentation according to government legislation.
- Perform any other duties as instructed by the Manager / Radiologist.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Nursing.
- Candidate with Advanced Nursing Diploma or equipment will have an added advantage.
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board.
- A meticulous and analytical team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in tertiary hospital.
- Previous experience in Radiology department highly advantageous.
- Able to commit to 5.5 day work week.
