Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Build up a technical focus area where you are our most experienced engineer in Non-Volatile-Memory (NVM) and Mixed-signal / analogue.
  • Understand and investigate production failures using advanced tools and equipment on these modules on lab bench for yield improvement
  • Provide expert guidance to ensure efficient resolution and continuous improvement of microcontroller test coverage
  • Apply your technical knowledge to support Cost Reduction activities such as test time reduction, test yield improvement, qualify Fab sites and qualify manufacturing flow transfers (from high-cost manufacturing to lower cost location)
  • Support customer returns analysis and generate analysis reports.
  • Build-up a special measurement setup, including an oscilloscope and a debugger to stimulate the failure.
  • Define concepts for test program improvements if required.

Your Profile

Experience

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • Experience in electrical measurement methods: DC measurements, usage of oscilloscopes and frequency generators; physical background for semiconductor measurements
  • Knowledge in software development for (automotive) microcontroller applications
  • Experience in microcontroller programming with C, Perl or Python
  • Know-how about semiconductor structures and manufacturing (i.e., special knowledge of NVM and mixed-signal)
  • Strong technical/analytical analysis capability – with primary focus on electrical analysis.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor physics, failure mechanisms, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in FE and BE yield improvements, Test time reduction activities, fab transfers, and fab/process qualifications.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or equivalent degree in the field of Electronics, Electrical, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Physics or other technical fields
  • Working experience in electrical failure analysis or product engineering and customer quality is a plus
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin would be advantageous to support returns from China customers
