Job Description

As a manufacturing engineer in Operation Engineering organization. This position will manage BB production build process and spearhead continuous improvement of BB production yield and productivity.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

  • Monitor manufacturing line performance daily, address technical issues promptly, and ensure consistent product quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, NPI, Engineering) to resolve systemic issues impacting yield, cycle time, and quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process stability and reduce recurring failures.

System-Level Engineering

  • Validate and troubleshoot complex motion control systems (servo, stepper motor-based). Analyze signal flow and feedback loops to identify cause of the issue.

Failure Analysis & Sustaining

  • Lead root cause investigations for high-impact electrical failures using manufacturing data.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis on PCB assemblies and drive corrective actions in collaboration with NPI and internal teams.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare detailed reports on test results, failure analysis, and propose design and process improvements to relevant teams.

Qualifications:

  • Degree / Master in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics) or equivalent.
  • Typically 5-8 years of working experience with Electrical & Electronic System.
  • Ability to work with manufacturing processes and understand DFM/DFT principles.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
  • Ability to propose and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for verification at machine, system, and PCBA levels.
  • Strong analog and digital circuitry analysis and measurement skills, using common tools (e.g. Multimeter, LCR meter, Hi-pot tester, Oscilloscope).
  • Awareness of industry standards (IPC, IEC, UL) for electrical and PCB compliance.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting schematics and technical documentation.
  • Basic understanding of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to document test results and provide clear analysis reports.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a positive attitude and an open mindset to embrace a team-oriented working environment
  • Experience with automation scripting (e.g., Python, VBA, or AutoHotkey) for test and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of reliability testing methodologies (e.g., HALT, HASS, thermal cycling).
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence) and layout review for testability.
  • Exposure to data charting tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Exposure to statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for DOE and data interpretation.
  • Basic knowledge of embedded systems and firmware debugging.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity concepts for troubleshooting.
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate and be flexible with work schedules.
