Senior Staff Engineer - IT

Key Responsibilities

• Install, manage, and troubleshoot Linux servers with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Manage disk partitions and LVM configurations.
• Create and manage users, groups, and sudo privileges.
• Work with ext4 and XFS file systems.
• Perform patching using yum, apt, and other package management tools.
• Configure and manage SSSD for authentication.
• Develop and maintain Shell/Bash scripts to automate system tasks and processes.
• Create, manage, and monitor cron jobs for scheduled operations.
• Understand and troubleshoot basic networking concepts related to Linux OS.
• Document issues, resolutions, and operational procedures accurately.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation throughout the year.

Good to Have

• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud environments.
• RHEL certification.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on knowledge of LVM, user/group management, file systems (ext4, XFS), patch management, cron jobs, and SSSD.
• Ability to write and understand Shell/Bash scripts.
• Good understanding of Linux networking fundamentals.
• Ability to work in on-call rotational support models.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
