Blazecorp is seeking highly experienced Engineering professionals to join our IFPG entity in Penang. We are looking for technical leaders with a proven track record in Analog Layout (RF/General) and Analog Mixed Signal Design to drive innovation in submicron CMOS technologies.
Note for Expats: These positions are open to expatriate candidates (preferably from Vietnam or the Philippines) with a minimum of 810 years of relevant experience.
Core Responsibilities
Across these roles, you will be expected to lead complex technical projects and mentor the next generation of engineers:
- Design & Execution: Perform block, subsystem, and top-level layout/design from scratch, including floor planning, routing, and full verification (LVS, DRC, Antenna).
- Technical Leadership: Lead or co-lead physical layouts for IP and full-chip designs while working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Project Management: Plan overall project schedules, distribute tasks, and ensure on-time delivery with high-quality standards.
- Mentorship: Guide and coach junior engineers, providing technical oversight and guidance.
- Review & Quality: Conduct thorough internal and external design reviews with circuit designers to ensure optimal performance.
- Innovation: Drive ideas for layout productivity, quality improvements, and methodology enhancements.
Candidate Profiles
We are looking for candidates who meet the following technical and academic requirements:
For Analog Layout Roles (RF & General)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics (with VLSI exposure), or equivalent.
- Experience: 8 to 15 years of experience in analog or RF layout design.
- Tools: Expertise in Cadence Virtuoso (VXL) and Mentor Calibre.
- Technical Depth: Deep understanding of submicron CMOS technologies, matching, parasitic reduction, ESD, and DFM.
- Specialization (RF only): Mandatory experience in RF modules (LNA, Mixer, PA, VCO) and high-performance RF subsystems (Transmitters, Receivers, PLL).
For Analog Mixed Signal Design Roles
- Education: Master's or University degree in Electronic/Microelectronic Engineering.
- Experience: 10+ years in analog IC design with a track record of delivering high-performance, low-power solutions.
- Technical Depth: Expertise in bandgaps, amplifiers, regulators (linear/switched), ADC/DAC, Temp Sensors, and Oscillators.
- Preferred Skills: Knowledge of digital IC design and automation tools (e.g., Python scripting).
