Job description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute APAC communications strategies aligned with business and marketing priorities
- Build and manage relationships with media and internal spokespeople
- Proactively secure media opportunities, including commentary and thought leadership
- Develop press materials, key messaging, and executive content
- Provide media training and support across formats
- Support crisis communications and issue management
- Monitor media coverage and provide insights based on trends and sentiment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Legal, HR, and leadership
- Establish frameworks and KPIs for regional communications, aligned with global standards
- Deliver timely reporting on communications performance
- Support additional communications activities as needed
Requirements:
- 8-10+ years in corporate communications, PR, or media relations, ideally across in-house and agency settings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Established media relationships across APAC, including financial and business press
- Ability to simplify complex financial topics for diverse audiences
- Experience in matrixed, global organizations and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with performance and sentiment-based reporting
- Experience integrating media with broader marketing initiatives
- Flexibility to work across time zones
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin required as you need to engage with Mandarin speaking stakeholers.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field
Working Environment:
- 4 days in office, 1 day remote
