Job Description

A. Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

  • Prepare the full set of monthly management accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with IFRS/SFRS.
  • Provide accurate financial reporting inputs for management, auditors, and regulators.

B. Finance Operations

  • Oversee daily finance operations, including AP, AR, GL postings, bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and cash flow management.
  • Review and approve purchase orders (POs) and supplier/vendor payments in line with company policies and authority limits.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and support treasury operations, ensuring liquidity and financial stability.

C. Tax & Compliance

  • In charge of GST and withholding tax filing, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Coordinate with auditors and tax agents for statutory audits, corporate tax filings, and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and financial SOPs to support GMP compliance in manufacturing.

D. Systems & Process Enhancement

  • Support SAP finance system enhancement and optimization: ensure clean master data, review finance-related changes for compliance, and collaborate with consultants and cross-functional teams to improve workflows and reporting.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in finance operations.

E. Collaboration & Business Partnering

  • Work closely with FP&A team and operations teams to provide accurate finance inputs for costing, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Align finance operations with the company's strategic.

F. Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise and mentor finance staff for AP, AR, inventory control and assets management.
  • Ensure timely execution of team responsibilities and promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

G. Ad-Hoc Projects

  • Support ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned from time to time, including system rollouts, incentive applications, contract reviews, financing projects, or other strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance CA/CPA/ACCA/Chartered Accountant preferred.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of finance experience, including at least 3 years in manufacturing (pharma/life sciences strongly preferred).
  • Hands-on expertise in month-end closing, preparation of management accounts, GST filing, and withholding tax compliance.
  • Strong experience in audit/tax compliance, working capital, and supplier payment approval processes.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP S4 Hana (particularly FICO modules), with proven involvement in system implementation, enhancements and optimization initiatives.
  • High integrity, analytical mindset, and ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and present to senior stakeholders.
