ROLE PURPOSE:
The Sourcing Specialist is a global role and will be required to work with stakeholders across the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, sourcing, analytics and project management.
This position will work closely with other cross-functional Leads eg, Supply Chain Planners, Quality, EHS, Global Technical , Regulatory, Finance and Customers at Business Units and Markets and be responsible for managing multiple virtual site operating teams (VSOT's) along with the indirect management of the enabling function colleagues who sit on those teams.
The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, contract management, cost analysis , management reporting and project management of key initiatives. He/She will work with cross- functional teams on system build, develop price database and adherence to agreements and company policies, harmonizing of templates and processes.
As a critical and lead member on the cross-functional Virtual Site Operating Team (VSOT), operating units and enabling functions, he/she shall work with key stakeholders to implement supply strategies that drive increased value in a financially constrained environment.
The candidate will also be responsible to compile periodic management reports including but not limited to PPV reports, claims, and scorecards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Portfolio Management and Sourcing-
- Work across broad cross-functional organizations (Virtual Site Operation Team (VSOT), Finance, Global Technical and Engineering, EHS, Quality, Supply Chain colleagues etc) to gather information and build supply database , including pricing details based on the Bill-of-Materials (BOM), budgeted volume vs forecasted volume vs actual shipped quantities. Provide the annual budget pricing to the finance team to support budget submissions.
- Responsible for global vision and management of assigned portfolio to deliver value through execution of sourcing strategies and strategic supplier relationship management to achieve continuous supply at optimum cost.
- Ensure compliance to SOX requirement.
- Uses applicable Sourcing Management tools in creation and implementation of source/procurement plan to manage assurance of supply, service, quality, cost, innovation and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct RFI/RFP or RFQ including analysis, negotiation and recommendation of award, and drafting of contracts using corporate contract template.
- Support technology transfer in collaboration with Technical, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain and other cross- functional teams.
- Manage spend including cost reduction and meeting cost containment targets as well as year-to-year budget improvement. Proactive on cost management through a Total Cost Acquisition approach and improvement initiatives.
- Timely submission of Budget pricing, Purchase Price Variance (PPV) forecast, including long range opportunity assessment and any other ad-hoc management reports
- Manage supply including alternate sourcing, developing of supply mitigation plan and working with VSOT on inventory build-up if required.
- Effectively assure adherence to Viatris global policy, procedures and systems.
- Maintain awareness of potential new sourcing opportunities and identify strategic sourcing partners who share common vision/values. Maintain awareness of trends within contractors and awareness of the industry.
- Meet or exceed annual budget cost reduction target
- Perform supplier financial health check with support from Finance
- Improve Viatris working capital
- Conduct vendor evaluation and selection process in collaboration with other functions
Market Knowledge and Insight-
- Use market intelligence, financialinformation and businessanalytics to createrobust predictive modeling and financial evaluation of opportunities
- Share market intelligence and trend to team membersfor development of breakthrough strategies.
Management Reporting & Procurement Analytics-
- Has strong excel knowledge and ability to perform thorough analysis on huge database.
- Update and maintain Pricing Databases
- Price analysis
- Management reporting (Monthly Scorecard, Global Alternate Source Monthly Report, Claim, Contract Registers, PPV Quarterly Forecast)
- Update performance metrics
- Bid Analysis
General Duties-
- Assist with daily operational needs and support administrative activities.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree from a well-established university
EXPERIENCE:
- Good communication and organization skills.
- Able to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to engage a cross functional team.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, demonstrating integrity, teamwork, adaptability, and creativity. Proven experience in collaborative, cross-functional projects. Possesses strong analytical abilities
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience ; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
- Able to handle multiple projects concurrently and possess project management experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications , especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to thrive in a complex and matrix environment ; collaborative mindset, aptitude to embrace change and high degree of adaptability to work through ambiguous , dynamic and stressful environment.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to respond to calls on off hours as this is a US based company and global role
