Pre-requisition
- Possess Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 810 years of experience in software/application development and system integration
- >5 years in solution or enterprise architecture roles.
- Strong track record in designing solutions that integrate bespoke applications with COTS products.
- Experience working across multiple technology domains (applications, cloud, infrastructure, security).
- Proven experience leading technical teams across multiple projects.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic architectural guidance.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Job Description:
Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead end-to-end solution design activities, from requirements gathering to implementation strategy.
- Design and integrate bespoke applications with COTS, including infrastructure, and security platforms and products as part of the overall solution architecture.
- Ensure architectural designs align with enterprise architecture principles, governance, and standards.
- Perform architecture reviews and provide design sign-offs for critical projects.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where relevant.
Project Delivery & Governance
- Work with Project Managers to ensure project scope, budget, and delivery timelines are achievable.
- Provide technical leadership during implementation, balancing innovation with risk management.
- Participate in architecture boards, technical governance committees, and design reviews.
- Support escalations and ad-hoc emergency response for pre-launch or production issues.
Team Leadership & Development
- Guide Architects, Associate Architects, and Specialists on solution design and technical delivery.
- Mentor team members, fostering growth in technical expertise and architectural thinking.
- Conduct capability assessments, identify skills gaps, and propose training or recruitment needs.
- Promote best practices in software engineering, DevOps, cloud adoption, and security.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Consultants to align solution design with client business needs.
- Communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on technology strategy, feasibility, and long-term roadmaps.
Technical Skill Sets:
- Understanding of solution architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.).
- Proficiency in air-gapped or on-premise deployments.
- Strong knowledge of integration methods, APIs, micro-services, micro-frontends, and middleware.
- Familiarity with security architecture principles, compliance, and data protection standards.
