Job Description

As a Senior Solution Engineer, you will be a strategic technical leader for Snowflake's existing enterprise customers in Singapore, with a primary focus on Financial Services (FSI) and Telecommunications (Telco) sectors.

You will partner closely with Account Executives to drive adoption, workload expansion, and multi‑line-of-business growth across your accounts. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior technical and business stakeholders, guiding them on how to use Snowflake as the core of their data, analytics, and AI strategy.

This is a field-facing, customer-first role that combines deep technical skills, strong industry context (FSI/Telco), and the ability to design and communicate high‑impact architectures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive Adoption in Existing Accounts

  • Own the technical expansion strategy for a portfolio of Snowflake customers in Singapore.

  • Identify and map customer business objectives to workloads, use cases, and lines of business that will benefit from Snowflake AI Data Cloud.

Solution Design, Demos & POCs

  • Design and deliver compelling demos and technical narratives tailored to each customer's architecture and use cases.

  • Lead and execute POCs/Pilots that prove value and de‑risk platform decisions, including success criteria definition and joint execution plans.

  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value and ROI for senior non-technical audiences.

Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product, and Partners to ensure successful customer outcomes.

  • Work with SI, ISV, and cloud partners to incorporate their solutions into customer architectures where relevant.

  • Capture and relay field feedback to Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities, especially for FSI/Telco needs.

Thought Leadership & Evangelism

  • Represent Snowflake at customer workshops, executive briefings, industry events, and community meetups.

  • Create and share technical content (presentations, reference architectures, playbooks, demos) that supports expansion in FSI and Telco.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive 10 years working experience in customer facing solution engineering role

  • Strong competency on modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake, data science , Gen AIand Data Apps

  • Excellent ability to present to both technical and executive audiences, whether through impromptu whiteboarding or structured presentations and demos.

  • Hands-on expertise with SQL & Spark

STRONGLY DESIRED:

  • Experience with large-scale cloud data and ai platforms

  • Programming/scripting experience (e.g., Python, Java, Spark)

  • Experience selling or supporting enterprise data/analytics platforms

  • Strong stakeholder management and value-based selling skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field skills

ADDED BONUS FOR:

  • Hands-on experience with Lakehouse architectures

  • Exposure to Data Science / AI / ML / Generative AI workloads

  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

  • Cloud platform experience: AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Relevant services (e.g., S3, Glue, SageMaker, Azure Data Factory, etc.)

  • Experience with OLAP data modeling and enterprise data architecture

  • Background in Financial Services (either as a practitioner or vendor)

  • Experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions
