Job Description
About Our Client
Our client is a proprietary trading firm at the forefront of decentralized finance. As market makers, who they build their own trading systems and strategies from the ground up. They're driven by rigorous research, tight team collaboration, and a relentless push on what's technically possible in DeFi — and they're looking for people who share that drive.
The Opportunity
Join the team as a Trading Systems Engineer and help build the core infrastructure powering their high-frequency trading operations. If you thrive in low-latency environments and love working where software meets finance, this role puts you at the center of it — designing systems that execute seamlessly across both on-chain and traditional markets, working shoulder-to-shoulder with traders, quants, and engineers.
What You'll Do
- Design and build low-latency, high-throughput systems that power a range of algorithmic trading strategies
- Develop and maintain reliable connectivity with exchanges and protocols for seamless market access
- Build core components for trade execution, order management, and real-time market data
- Profile, tune, and continuously optimize systems for maximum speed and reliability
- Partner with quant traders to turn trading ideas into scalable, production-ready systems
- Help shape flexible architecture that scales with trading volume and new opportunities
- Keep systems stable and running in a fast-moving, latency-critical environment
What We're Looking For
- Solid grounding in traditional finance, systems architecture, and trading infrastructure
- 5+ years building and maintaining low-latency systems for algorithmic trading
- Strong low-level programming skills (Rust or C++ OR Java)
- Hands-on experience with exchange/broker APIs, OMS, pricing/risk engines, or smart order routers
- A knack for system-level performance tuning, monitoring, and debugging
