Senior Software Engineer / Software Architect / Software Manager – C# / .NET

Singapore

We are hiring a senior, hands-on software engineering leader to join a newly created team, working on a new software project, in a newly created position within an established international company.

This is not a replacement hire or a role stepping into an existing development structure. You will be joining at the beginning, helping shape the architecture, engineering practices and technical direction of a new division focused on software used within certified life-safety and fire detection systems.

It is an opportunity to combine the stability and resources of an established international business with the autonomy and influence of building something new.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the software architecture, data models, file formats, versioning strategy and long-term compatibility

• Design and build production-quality applications using C# / modern .NET

• Implement security capabilities including PKI, certificates, TLS/mTLS, credential storage and secure software updates

• Establish and drive engineering standards covering code review, automated testing, release management and requirements traceability

• Produce software verification evidence and technical documentation for third-party evaluation and certification

• Work closely with product, hardware and external engineering partners

• Help establish the engineering practices, technical standards and ways of working for the new team

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience

• Strong hands-on expertise in C# / .NET

• Strong desktop application development experience, ideally including WPF

• Experience developing certified, regulated, safety-related or other high-integrity products

• Strong software architecture, security, Git and automated testing practices

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Experience with embedded hardware, industrial protocols, IEC 61508, IEC 62304, UL 1998, databases or desktop deployment would be advantageous.

Approximately 10% travel

English and Simplified Chinese proficiency required to work effectively with engineering partners in China.
