Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, C++, Java).
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java,Kotlin, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with full-stack, including designing and integrating with server-side APIs to support client features.
- Experience optimizing system performance, reducing latency, and improving ML model efficiency.
- Experience with multimodal machine learning or image classification.
- Experience with Android mobile app development (e.g., Kotlin, Java).
- Experience working with external partners and device manufacturers.

Responsibilities
- Own, develop, test, and maintain features for importing pass data from Gmail, Chrome or Android into Google Wallet. This includes verticals such as receipts, flight reservations, loyalty cards, event tickets, offers, and hotel reservations.
- Evaluate and improve machine learning or Large Language Models (LLM) for on-device classification and server extraction of Wallet data from various file formats like PDF, Images or other multimodal input.
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Product Managers, UX, Technical Program Managers, Legal, and other teams (like Chrome and Gmail intelligence teams) to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Engage with external partners to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and launch new integrations.
