As a senior software engineer, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary product development team that builds and delivers a robust and intelligent product that supports data-driven analysis and decision-support. You are expected to possess a solid background on full stack web development and to lead technical work of complex natures that enable analysts and leaders alike, to make informed and astute decisions on operations and strategies that contribute to Singapore's national security.
Responsibilities
- Shape the technologies and lead the development of decision-support products
- Engineer innovative, scalable and interoperable solutions to overcome technical challenges posed by fast-moving new technologies and legacy systems
- Collaborate with other software engineers, data and technology specialists in R&D initiatives to grow domain expertise within the community
- Engage users, engineers and UX/UI designers to co-create practical, smart and sustainable products
Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)
- Good degree in Engineering or Computer Science, with at least 3 years of relevant working experiences
- Familiar with full stack web technologies such as ReactJS, Spring Boot, MongoDB and MinIO.
- Well-versed and proficient in software design and implementation using Java programming language
- Good knowledge of Software Architecture Design patterns
- Experience with build automation tools like Git CI/CD, Maven, Artifactory and Docker
- Good analytical skills in problem-solving and recommend areas of improvement
- A team player that collaborates with other members to achieve product objectives
Nice to haves
- Experiences in practicing scrum and agile methodologies
- Experiences with Elasticsearch, Neo4J and/or similar search engines and graph databases
- UX/UI design skillsets
- Leadership skills
