As a Senior Software Developer - Volpay at Azqore, you will design, develop, and implement high-performing payment and messaging solutions leveraging JAVA technologies and Volpay platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, working closely with business stakeholders, technical experts, and project managers to deliver scalable solutions for our core and digital banking platform.
Job Description:
- Design and develop payment and messaging solutions using JAVA and VolPay, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical best practices
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
- Customize and enhance VolPay workflows and integrations for various payment schemes (SEPA, SWIFT, ISO20022, etc.)
- Develop and maintain APIs and interfaces between internal systems and external payment networks
- Participate in system architecture design, solution reviews, and technical documentation
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support functional/user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Troubleshoot development and production issues related to payment processing and integrations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and DevOps pipelines
- Provide estimates for assigned development activities and deliver high-quality code within committed timeframes
- Support deployments and post-Go-Live activities ensuring minimal disruption and high system uptime
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of professional JAVA development experience (core JAVA, J2EE, Spring Framework preferred)
- Strong experience with Volpay (Volante Technologies) payments platform: integration, workflow development, and configuration
- Experience with financial messaging (SWIFT, ISO 20022, SEPA, SIC, MEPS, HK etc.) and payment flows
- Hands-on experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs for payment and banking applications
- Familiar with payment digitalization, regulatory requirements such as PSD2, and fraud detection systems
- Strong SQL, data modeling, and integration experience between systems
- Experience in private banking or financial services environments is a strong plus
- Knowledge of agile software development and distributed delivery teams
