Job purpose
The Senior Social Worker will provide support in governance and leadership in casework, clinical supervision, practice quality assurance, and cross-centre coordination. The role ensures consistent, high quality social work practice, staff capability development, and alignment with organisational and regulatory standards across the cluster.
Key responsibilities
1. Cluster Clinical Leadership & Anchoring
- Supervise 2 or more social workers / social work associates (at TB/WC SCC) and support cases in Jurong West, providing clinical direction and guidance
- Support alignment of practice standards, intervention approaches, documentation quality, and ethical decision-making across centres
- Serve as escalation point for high-risk, complex, and ethically challenging cases.
2. Clinical Supervision
- Provide regular, structured clinical supervision to social workers/social work associates, in line with professional standards and agency requirements.
- Guide supervisees in:
- Case formulation and intervention planning
- Risk assessment and management
- Ethical practice and professional boundaries
- Reflective practice and use of self
- Maintain supervision records and contribute to staff competency development and performance reviews where required.
3. Practice Quality
- Lead case discussions, case conferences, group work and multidisciplinary collaborations with internal and external stakeholders
4. Practice Governance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, professional codes of ethics, and regulatory requirements.
- Review case documentation, risk assessments, and care plans for quality and consistency.
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and implementation of SOPs, workflows, and practice guidelines across the cluster.
5. Staff Development & Capability Building
- Identify training needs and contribute to practice-based learning initiatives, case reviews, and reflective practice sessions.
- Support onboarding and capability building of new staff within the cluster.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Degree in Social Work recognised by the Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW)
- RSW is a requirement
- Minimum 3-5 years of social work practice experience.
- Proven experience in providing clinical supervision to social workers
- Experience in complex casework, risk management, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong clinical judgement and ethical reasoning.
- Ability to anchor, influence, and support practice across multiple centres.
- Good administrative and organizational skills
