About the Role

The Business Times, Singapore's premier business daily, is looking for a creative, enterprising and digitally-savvy Social Media Specialist to join the team. The Social Media Specialist will work with journalists and editors to amplify content on social media. You will curate, edit and customise content for the different platforms targeting audiences in Singapore and beyond. Strong candidates who have proven themselves will have a chance to write and create fresh content specifically for social media.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field
• Familiarity with social media and chat messaging platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Telegram, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and YouTube
• Basic creative skills in Canva, Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) or similar tools)
• Good copywriting skills tailored to social platforms
• Strong command of written and spoken English
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Have a strong news sense and an interest in economics, international news, business and finance topics
• 3-5 years of experience preferred
