Understand business, functional, and technical requirements across ServiceNow core modules and App Engine applications.
Define and own test strategies, test plans, and risk-based testing approaches covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
Participate in requirement, design, and architecture reviews to ensure quality-by-design and full test coverage.
Identify test data requirements and ensure test environments are for purpose.
Test Design & Execution
Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases aligned with acceptance criteria.
Validate ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, notifications, SLAs, and integrations (REST/SOAP).
Perform end-to-end testing across ITSM, CSM/PSDS, HRSD, ITOM, ITAM, and custom App Engine solutions.
Lead and support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Manage the full defect lifecycle, including triage, root-cause analysis, and reporting using ServiceNow Agile, JIRA, or Azure DevOps.
Automation & Quality Engineering
Build, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Apply test automation best practices to ensure reusable, maintainable, and scalable test assets.
Design automation for App Engine low-code and pro-code applications, workflows, and integrations.
Establish and maintain smoke and regression test suites, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze test results and provide quality metrics and dashboards to stakeholders.
App Engine, Low-Code / Pro-Code & AI Quality
Test and validate Low-Code and Pro-Code applications built using App Engine Studio.
Validate custom scripting, APIs, data models, and user experiences within App Engine solutions.
Test AI-powered features and use cases leveraging Now Assist, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with business requirements.
Ensure App Engine applications align with ServiceNow platform best practices and upgrade compatibility.
Release, Deployment & Upgrade Support
Participate in release readiness and go/no-go reviews.
Validate post-deployment functionality in staging and production environments.
Lead and support ServiceNow upgrade testing, ensuring compatibility across modules, App Engine apps, ATF, and Now Assist features.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Mentor junior testers and quality engineers on ServiceNow testing and automation best practices. Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, automation coverage, and quality metrics.
Collaborate with development and platform teams to embed shift-left testing and quality engineering.
