Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, and servicing of marine propulsion systems, including waterjets, control systems, and associated equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical faults in propulsion and control systems
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, shipyards, and partners
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation for fault-finding and repairs
- Support system integration, including electrical wiring, control interfaces, and mechanical alignment
- Prepare detailed service reports, documentation, and feedback for continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and marine regulations
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues
- Participate in emergency call-outs and travel regionally when required
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in marine, offshore, or heavy equipment service environments
- Strong knowledge of both electrical systems (PLC, control systems, sensors) and mechanical systems (hydraulics, rotating equipment)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to travel within the Asia-Pacific region and work offshore when required
- Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in dynamic environments
