Senior SOC and Incident Response Engineer | Fluent Technical Chinese | Contract | Remote APAC
Synchro are working with a global technology business to find a Senior Security Engineer, who can bridge the gap between their Managed Security Services provider and their China-based technical teams.
Day rate: £500 to £600 per day
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote. Must be Singapore-based, or within 1 hour of Singapore time (UTC+7 to UTC+9)
The role:
You will sit between the MSS provider and the client's engineering, development, testing, infrastructure and security teams, who primarily communicate in Chinese. You will support investigations and major incidents, making sure nothing is lost in translation when speed matters.
What you will bring:
- Senior SIEM and SOC experience, with a strong background in incident response and complex security operations
- Fluent technical Chinese. Conversational Chinese alone will not be sufficient
- Experience supporting major incidents where rapid investigation, coordination and decision-making are required within tight timeframes
- Hands-on experience with complex technologies and integrations, including FW/WAF, networking, CDN, ACLs and security architecture
- Fortinet NSE 7 or NSE 8 certification preferred
