Our client, a well-known Japanese company is currently looking for a Senior Sales Manager (Japanese Speaking).
Responsiblities:
- Drive direct sales activities with key customers such as furniture manufacturers.
- Manage existing Japanese speaking client relationships while expanding new business opportunities in assigned countries.
- Target both Japanese and non-Japanese companies primarily within Southeast Asia.
- Undertake regular business travel within Southeast Asia to develop markets and strengthen customer engagement.
- Liaise with internal group factories and external suppliers to ensure smooth supply chain coordination.
- Conduct market research and gather intelligence on industry trends and supplier conditions within the assigned region.
- Prepare and submit weekly sales reports to the Branch Manager.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop subordinates to enhance team capability and performance.
- Oversee sales performance and budget management, providing progress updates to the Branch Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- More than 10 years of sales experience in wood-based building materials or related products
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a sale team
- Ability to conduct business discussions and negotiations with clients and suppliers, particularly in new business development
- Proficiency in PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Open personality with flexibility to travel on business
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and punctuality
- Proficient in Business Japanese with the capability to communicate, negotiate, and correspond (both spoken and written) with headquarters in Japan and Japanese Speaking clients
- Experience in supervising, managing, and developing subordinates
