FINANCIAL RETURNS
- Promote Holiday Inn Express brand experience and products utilising IHG resources and guided sales techniques.
- Position and promote Hotel's Unique Selling Points to differentiate and optimize revenue growth towards a mutual win-win for all stakeholders including customers.
- Align actions to department's strategies when selling to optimise both volume and rate.
- Acquire new businesses while maintaining / growing volume from existing corporate accounts.
- Initiates and prepare business tenders, proposal and contracts upon reviewing with Director of Sales
- Collaborate, support and drive IHG and Hotel level initiatives
- Work collaboratively with leadership team in the preparation and management of annual Sales & Marketing budget
- Sales trips and tradeshows when required to promote hotel and develop pipelines
- Develops and maintains contact with business partners, meeting and convention planners, visitors/convention bureau, travel agents, airlines, corporate accounts, government departments, embassies and other producers closely aligned to hotel business
- Monitor, acquire and share market intelligence from competitor set of hotels.
- Closely monitor and control expenses in Sales, prior approval needs to be obtained from Director of Sales prior to incurring large expenditure of more than SGD $100
PEOPLE
- Manage all internal and external customers with professionalism
- Maintain regular contact with IHG hotels colleagues and Key Account Directors/Managers to leverage on each other's knowledge, network and collaborate towards business growth
- Maintain high service standards in the hotel through trainings and lead by example
- Exhibit IHG Brand Service behaviours and guidelines
- Effective communication on all business-critical information to relevant departments
Guest Experience
- Promote the Hotel's and IHG's products and services (i.e. IHG One Rewards, IHG Business Rewards, IHG Business Edge and more)
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about IHG Hotels in your region
- Service existing and new business through management of accounts & engagement of regular / long staying guests.
- Respond to guest complaints within 24hours and ensure corrective actions to resolve their issues / concerns with the support of Cluster Director of Sales.
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
- Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
- Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
- Initiate actions to correct a hazardous situation and notify direct report of potential dangers
- Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements
- Positive mind-set of developing and carrying out action plans to be environmentally conscious by taking steps to reduce the hotel's carbon footprints and sustainability efforts
- Acting responsibly at all times when working with hotel budget and expenses, seeking prior approval from Director of Sales or General Manager
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Complete all assigned sales related training modules in IHG Merlin and be competent in hotel systems (i.e. Concerto, Hotel Keys, Merlin, IWOS).
- Collectively achieving budget corporate segment of the hotel and a team contributor for any department level task.
- Be a self-motivated, driven individual towards exceeding sales performance and deliverables.
- 20 sales activities weekly: appointments, telemarketing on new prospects, site inspection and entertainment.
- Complete weekly sales activities report and following week sales calendar plan every Friday into shared folder.
- Strong Account Management of assigned portfolio (80:20 rule) encompassing both potential new and existing customers.
- Maintain and upkeep proper records of portfolio's customer database / Hotel's Business Management Grid.
- Cross sell all revenue generating streams of the hotel – Meeting Room and F&B.
- Cross sell IHG hotels for any leads that are not a fit for property or due to non-availability.
- Ensure all work matters are upheld in IHG way of doing sales.
- Contribute, assist content and prepare for any business meetings required by Director of Sales.
- Provide guidance for junior team members whenever needed.
