Senior Safety and Security Officer, and facilities – you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
Organising Activities
- Attend and actively participate in daily departmental briefings to receive operational updates, disseminate critical information and ensure shift readiness.
- Liaise closely with operational departments and hotel leaders on a daily basis to maintain situational awareness of hotel activities, VIP movements, events, maintenance works and local developments that may impact safety, security or business operations.
- Prepare accurate, timely and comprehensive incident, occurrence and investigation reports by documenting observations, gathering information, interviewing witnesses, obtaining relevant statements or signatures, and securing evidence where required.
- Provide operational support across the hotel by maintaining a visible security presence during peak operational periods, special events and high-profile activities, while assisting team members whenever required.
- Uphold the hotel's integrity and reputation by ensuring compliance with Hilton brand standards, company policies, local legislation, regulatory requirements and established safety and security procedures.
Directing Activities
- Monitor and Operate Fire Alarm Panel
- In Control Room, ensure all Systems (Fire Alarm, Elevator System, CCTV Monitoring, Door Alarm System, etc) are in working order.
- In the event of malfunctions of any of the above systems, on duty Safety & Security Supervisor and Assistant Safety & Security Manager should be notified immediately.
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
- Ensure a safe, secure environment is provided for team members, guests, visitors and contractors at all times.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers
- Ensure that all prescribed and designed process, systems and standards are maintained.
- Ensure the security log books and incident reports are maintained and completed.
- Take responsibility for all incidents within the hotel and manage them in compliance with internal policies and legislation
- Ensure that all activities are in compliance with national laws and regulations, and Hilton operating policies, processes and systems.
- Patrol premises to proactively undertake security and fire prevention observations. Prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates and ensure clear means of escape in all locations
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Ensure safe passage of cash transfers within the Hotel.
- Receive, record and secure found property and respond to requests for lost property.
- Ensure bedrooms, hotel facilities and function rooms remain locked when not in use.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Conduct Safety and Security walks effectively and report any defects or occurrences which require rectification or attention.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Operate, monitor CCTV and access controls within the Hotel reporting any breaches of security or suspicious activity.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Circulate among visitors, quests, and employees to preserve order and protect property
Controlling Activities
- Maintain a professional, fair and balanced approach when managing interactions with guests, team members, visitors and contractors, ensuring excellent service while enforcing hotel safety and security standards.
- Maintain a visible and proactive security presence throughout all public, guest and back-of-house areas to deter security risks and provide operational support.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the hotel layout, including guest floors, public areas, back-of-house facilities, plant rooms, emergency exits, fire escape routes and assembly areas, to enable an effective response during routine operations and emergencies.
- Continuously monitor CCTV surveillance systems and respond promptly to suspicious activities, security breaches and operational irregularities, escalating incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist in coordinating and supporting the safe evacuation of guests, team members and visitors during emergencies, ensuring established emergency response procedures are followed.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the hotel's Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and crisis management procedures, and perform assigned duties effectively during emergencies and planned exercises.
- Ensure compliance with the Hilton Global Security Manual, hotel policies, standard operating procedures and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Remain fully conversant with all emergency procedures, including fire evacuation, in-place protection, medical emergencies, bomb threats, Active Attack, lockdown and other crisis response protocols, ensuring readiness to respond effectively at all times.
- Exercise sound judgement and situational awareness when assessing incidents, implementing control measures and making operational decisions to safeguard the safety and security of people, property and hotel operations.

- Participate actively in departmental meetings, briefings, training programmes, emergency exercises and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen team capability and operational readiness.

- Perform any other reasonable duties assigned.
