Position: Senior Retail Executive / Retail Manager
Brief Description
The Senior Retail Executive / Retail Manager is responsible for leading the retail operations to ensure an exceptional customer experience, strong sales performance, and efficient daily operations. This role requires a proactive leader with strong product knowledge, a strategic mindset, and the ability to mentor and guide the retail team. You will oversee merchandising, inventory planning, customer engagement, and the execution of promotional programmes while driving continuous improvement in retail standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the retail team to deliver excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
- Oversee daily operations, ensure store readiness, and maintain smooth workflows.
- Engage customers, provide product advice, and handle escalated enquiries professionally.
- Manage merchandising, plan attractive store displays, and support promotional campaigns.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock replenishment, and work with logistics to fulfil orders.
- Track sales performance, stay updated on industry trends, and share insights to improve operations.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners while ensuring compliance with safety and company standards.
- Strong understanding of plants, landscaping materials, and gardening products.
- Able to recommend suitable products based on customer needs and project requirements.
- Clear in explaining product features, benefits, and basic plant care.
- Stay informed about new plant varieties, market trends, and seasonal stock.
Job Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
- Proven leadership experience in retail, customer-facing roles, or related fields.
- Strong negotiation and sales strategy skills with a track record of achieving targets.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and perform under pressure.
- Self-motivated, independent, and able to make sound decisions quickly.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to guide and support a retail team.

- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when required.
