We are seeking a Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist to join our Bioapplications R&D team in Singapore. This role combines assay development in immunology and cell biology with Pluto platform innovation. You will help design, optimize, and validate assays on Pluto, translate protocols into automation-ready workflows, and engage in user-facing scientific partnerships that demonstrate Pluto's real-world impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop & Validate Assays: Design, optimize, and troubleshoot cell-based assays (flow cytometry, immunoassays, single-cell genomics) on Pluto.
2. Enable Pluto Workflows: Translate scientific protocols into automation-ready workflows, ensuring reproducibility and usability.
3. User-Facing Scientific Partnerships: Collaborate with external partners (academic, clinical, and biopharma) on joint studies, pilot deployments, and proof-of-concept projects. Share results in workshops and discussions that help users succeed with Pluto.
4. Innovation: Identify workflow gaps and propose new Pluto applications or improvements.
5. Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with R&D, engineering, CX scripting, and commercial teams mentor or be mentored depending on experience.
6. Leadership Principles: Practice Curiox's GOLDEN values - Grow, Open communication, Learn, Decide with data, Execute, Nurture trust.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. PhD or MSc in Life Sciences, Immunology, Cell Biology, or Biomedical Engineering.
. Fresh PhD graduates (0-2 years industry experience) are encouraged to apply.
. Candidates with 3+ years industry experience may be considered for Senior Research Scientist.
2. Hands-on expertise in flow cytometry sample preparation is required experience with immunoassays or single-cell genomics strongly preferred.
3. Familiarity with liquid handling automation or laboratory robotics is a plus.
4. Experience in external collaborations (academic or industry) is an advantage.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Fluent in English(Mandarin is a plus for cross-regional communication).
7. Independent, resourceful, and adaptable, with strong teamwork and project ownership.
8. Willingness to travel occasionally for collaborations and conferences.
9. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure is a plus.
