The company is seeking a Senior Research Officer to join the Diagnostics research team in Biopolis, Singapore. The successful candidate will be working as a member of diagnostics assay prototyping team under the new business development section which are including both business and research teams from Japan.
- Working Location: Central (Buona Vista)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8.45 AM - 5.30 PM)
- Duration: Contract (3 years - Renewable)
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES in Laboratory:
- Perform research on molecular and immunological assays for diagnostics at various stages, including proof-of-concept, prototype design, optimization and validation, under the supervision of team leader.
- Comply with all laboratory safety standards and guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and systematic documentation of laboratory work (E-lab notebook).
- Actively provide training to junior members in the cross-functional teams.
- Perform experimental plan, execute and monitor the experiment conduct.
- Troubleshoot experiment to greater extent (variable controls)
- Summarize the findings into good result representation format (eg. Tables/graphs, PowerPoint presentation)
- Procurement of lab necessities
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES in New Research Proposals:
- The company has established a system that allows researchers, including young researchers, to propose ideas for creating new businesses, as well as a team to support these activities.
- As a senior researcher, you will be involved in idea generation, market research, and proposal development as a team member or proposal leader.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's or Bachelor's Degrees holders in Microbiology, Molecular or Cell Biology, Immunology, or other suitable life science disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Experience with ISO 13485 or ISO 9001.
- Experience on diagnostics development based on user's voices.
- Knowledge or experience in molecular or immunoassay such as real-time PCR, isothermal, ELISA, antigen rapid test etc.
- Self-driven, highly motivated, organized, and responsible individual.
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Familiar with lab operation and lab safety matters.
- Working on-site with cross-functional teams
Highly advantages:
- Familiar with bioinformatics on primers and probe design, or NGS analysis.
