The incumbent will be expected to think critically and creatively in applying artificial intelligence knowledge to design and develop innovative algorithms, systems and solutions. He/She will work closely with other researchers in the design new technolocy solutions as well as to complement existing technology areas. With strong research backround and analytical skills, the Research engineers are expected to apply research results to developing cutting-edge technologies critical to Merry's vision of being a world-class leader in audio AI research and innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work on cutting-edge research and development in one of the following areas: audio/speech recognition, natual language processing, computer vision
- Design, develop and implement deep/machine learning algorithms
- Process and experiment with real-world data for effective solutions
- Optimise deep/machine learning algorithms for efficiency and scalability
Job Requirements:
- PhD or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Audio related field
- Solid knowledge in one or more of the following fields: computer vision, natural language processing, audio & speech dsp processing or other deep/machine learning technologies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to learn and apply research theories into developing algorithms to solve real world problems
- Proficient in Python, and relevant data science libraries
- Experience with at least one deep learning framework, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow etc.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience in C/C++
- Working experience in deep/machine learning technologies
- Publications in the fields of computer vision, natural language processing, audio & speech or other deep/machine learning
