Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of commodity and corporate banking clients across the RCEP region. This role focuses on trade finance, commodity finance, corporate banking solutions, credit facility management, and client relationship development within a fast-paced banking environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders across Credit, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Head Office to support trade finance transactions, client servicing, and portfolio growth while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of commodity trading and corporate banking clients across the RCEP region
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for clients, maintaining strong long-term business relationships
- Structure, execute, and monitor trade finance transactions including LC, trust receipts, import/export financing, and related banking facilities
- Support commodity finance and corporate banking activities, ensuring timely execution and compliance with internal guidelines
- Manage end-to-end account onboarding processes including KYC, AML screening, CDD reviews, account opening, and periodic reviews
- Coordinate with Credit, Risk Management, Compliance, Operations, and Head Office teams for credit approvals and facility maintenance
- Monitor and manage credit facilities, annual reviews, renewals, and transaction documentation
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across trade finance, corporate lending, treasury products, and cash management solutions
- Handle client enquiries promptly and maintain high service standards
- Maintain transaction trackers, monitor outstanding matters, and ensure smooth operational execution
- Support ad-hoc business initiatives and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Commodity Finance, or Relationship Management within banking
- Strong experience in trade finance products and commodity-related financing
- Existing exposure to commodity trading clients or corporate banking clients will be an advantage
- Strong understanding of Trade Finance, Commodity Finance, Corporate Banking products, and credit processes
- Familiarity with KYC, AML, compliance, and risk management requirements within banking
- Strong client management, business development, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and KPI-driven banking environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage regional stakeholders
