About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Relationship Manager to join our Commercial Banking team at RHB Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing a portfolio of Middle Market (MME/MMP) clients, driving sustainable revenue growth, and delivering high-quality client service while maintaining strong credit discipline. You will play a key role in business development, credit evaluation, and relationship management, working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
What you will be doing
Sales initiation & business development
- Acquire new Middle Market (MME/MMP) customers and deepen relationships with existing clients to enhance revenue.
- Promote commercial banking loan products to meet individual and team annual targets.
- Cross-sell and up-sell banking solutions to support RHB Singapore's overall business objectives.
- Increase facility utilisation rates to grow the Bank's share of wallet within existing client portfolios.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering proactive and responsive client servicing in line with service standards.
Loan processing, credit monitoring & risk management
- Conduct end-to-end credit processing, evaluation, and appraisal for mid-market and corporate clients.
- Perform regular credit reviews to proactively monitor credit quality and identify early warning signals.
- Implement appropriate strategies to prevent or minimise loan defaults and non-performing loans (NPLs).
- Ensure all documentation, approvals, and monitoring activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Market intelligence & collaboration
- Gather market intelligence and provide feedback on competitors products and services to the Product Team.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain competitiveness of product and service offerings.
- Protect the reputation and integrity of the Bank through prudent risk management and professional conduct.
What we're looking for
- Degree or professional qualifications in Business, Accounting, Banking, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years and above of experience in Commercial Banking.
- Strong exposure in managing mid-market and corporate clients (typically S$50M+ in revenue).
- Proven experience in end-to-end credit processing, evaluation, and appraisal.
- Demonstrated success in portfolio management, credit underwriting, and business development.
- Well-established business network within the mid-market or corporate segment is an advantage.
- Strong credit writing, loan structuring, and financial analysis skills, including cash flow modelling.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, energetic, results-oriented, and commercially astute.
- Able to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment and collaborate well within a team.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and customer-centric mindset.
