Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance Asia
We are partnering with a high-growth, global financial technology platform operating across multiple international markets, providing integrated payments and financial solutions to businesses at scale. Backed by top-tier global investors and supported by a strong technology and product foundation, the organisation is continuing its expansion across Asia and is investing in senior regulatory leadership to support this next phase of growth.
Position Overview
This is a newly created, senior regional role within the organisation's global Regulatory Compliance function. Based in Singapore, the role reports directly to the global head of regulatory compliance and serves as a key regulatory compliance lead for the Asian region. The position plays a critical role in enabling the business to scale responsibly by maintaining strong regulatory relationships, overseeing licensing obligations, and embedding effective regulatory compliance frameworks across markets.
Key Responsibilities
The successful individual will provide regional regulatory leadership, owning regulatory engagement, supervisory relationships, and regulatory correspondence. The role will help manage the regulatory compliance aspects of licensing, authorisations, and market expansion initiatives, coordinating internal stakeholders to support business plan updates, licence applications, and regulatory submissions. This role will deliver independent regulatory advice and oversight to first-line business teams, assess new and existing products and processes for regulatory compliance, and guide the organisation through regulatory change and emerging risks. The position will manage regulatory compliance risks within the enterprise risk framework, oversee regulatory reporting, escalation, and governance processes, support regulatory examinations and inspections, and contribute to conduct risk and ethics matters linked to regulated activities. In addition, the role will be responsible for developing and enhancing regulatory compliance policies, frameworks, monitoring programmes, and training, while leading cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects to resolve regulatory or operational challenges and support the organisation's continued growth across the region.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have 12 or more years of experience in regulatory compliance within financial services, fintech, payments, or other regulated environments, supported by a degree in law or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. They will bring strong working knowledge of Asian financial regulatory frameworks and hands-on experience engaging regulators and other regional authorities. The role requires a commercially minded compliance leader who is comfortable advising and challenging the business while enabling growth in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience leading teams, influencing senior stakeholders across functions and geographies, managing regulatory change, and supporting licensing or market expansion initiatives is essential, alongside strong communication skills, data literacy, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution. Experience in fintech, payments, or technology-led financial services environments, as well as exposure to regulatory expansion and technology-enabled compliance solutions, will be viewed favourably.
