Cana Consulting is partnering with a prominent Fintech, in search of a Senior Regulatory Compliance. You will lead the regional regulatory strategy, securing and maintaining the licenses necessary for business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Expansion
- Serve as a senior leader for the global team, driving the regional strategy for government and authority relations.
- Lead the legal process for obtaining and managing business licenses to support expansion into new markets.
- Act as the main point of contact for official requests, business updates, and license applications with regional authorities.
Risk Management & Advisory
- Advise the company on how to adapt to new laws and manage risks associated with changing regulations.
- Design internal policies and provide practical guidance to help business teams meet their legal obligations.
- Oversee internal checks and audits to ensure all regional offices meet their mandatory reporting and safety standards.
Operational Excellence
- Manage on-site inspections and reviews conducted by external authorities.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure all employees understand their ethical and legal responsibilities.
- Lead special projects to resolve operational bottlenecks and accelerate company growth.
Key Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in legal or oversight roles within the financial, technology, or consulting sectors. Prior experience in a high-growth technology company is preferred.
- Expertise in financial rules and industry standards across Asian markets. Exposure to the process of obtaining new business licenses is preferred.
- Proven track record of direct interaction with regional financial government bodies and regulators.
- Ability to solve complex problems creatively while keeping the company's long-term goals in mind.
- Exceptional at building professional relationships and presenting information clearly to stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in high-speed, evolving environments and managing multiple urgent priorities simultaneously.
- A deep understanding of ethics and how to manage the risks associated with financial products.
