POSITION SUMMARY:

As part of the Regional Marketing team, the Senior Regional Commercial Manager is a key driver in building a strong, growing, and profitable Pharmaceutical portfolio for A. Menarini Asia Pacific. The role is responsible for the design, planning and execution of regional brand plans (RBP) and roll out of innovative marketing campaigns to grow Menarini into a major player in the assigned portfolio field.

She/he will also provide strategic direction on the future portfolio strategy as well to identify the in-licensing and partnership opportunities to build Menarini's portfolio across the region. She/he will lead / drive marketing campaigns and programs in close collaboration with Country Marketing teams, as well as working closely with Regional Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Alliance Management, and Finance. This role is expected to take ownership of business outcomes and ROI and provide guidance / support to countries in optimizing financial performance and resource allocation. He/she should take the lead with coordinating / facilitating the regional cross-functional team and in communicating brand strategy to the AMAP countries, under the guidance and supervision of the Regional Commercial Head, Pharmaceuticals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • To drive and ensure launch marketing and commercial excellence for new product launches within the regional portfolio
  • To drive the brand planning process, develop regional brand plans and provide guidance and input into country plans to ensure alignment
  • To develop and execute robust brand and portfolio strategy
  • To closely collaborate with cross-functional colleagues including Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, Alliance Management on all aspects of brand management including launch preparation and excellence.
  • Develop regional marketing and educational programs, both traditional and digital, aligned to brand strategy and in consultation with country marketing leads
  • Ensure the right marketing mix based on in-depth knowledge of the various country market landscapes
  • Set relevant Key Performance Indicators and monitor brand performance to achieve a healthy financial and competitive / market outlook
  • Engage key opinion leaders and develop brand advocates

Commercial Operations

  • To ensure execution excellence with marketing programs and field force through collaboration with the Sales Force Effectiveness team (SFE)
  • To support the SFE team and countries with high-quality training materials

Market Intelligence & Analysis

  • To develop in-depth market analysis and forecasts to optimize brand performance
  • To utilize various information sources and closely monitor competitive landscape in order to optimize brand performance
  • To proactively identify, analyze and follow up on specific business opportunities

Portfolio Design and Product Life Cycle Management

  • To act as strategic portfolio architect and ensure optimal product life cycle management from pre-launch to late stage / mature products
  • Develop in-depth understanding on new products, market landscape, disease area and clinical data; and translate this knowledge to winning marketing strategies and campaigns
  • To provide essential market data, analysis and business cases to support business development opportunities

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in Science/Pharma/Medicine preferably combined with an MBA
  • At least 8 years marketing experience in a major pharmaceutical MNC, with minimum 3 years with regional experience
  • Experience managing brands at various stages of the product lifecycle including a track record of product launch success
  • Therapeutic area experience in oncology, specialty care and/or cardio metabolic is an advantage
  • High level strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Hands on with execution and getting things done
  • Excellent collaborator and communicator
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with different cultures, to be able to empower the country team to bringing out trust, confidence and the best in them
  • Innovative marketer with a solid digital marketing skill set
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
