Senior R&D Director

Job Description

• Lead the strategic development and operational management of the company's optical product line.
• Translate corporate and product line objectives into clear R&D strategies and actionable plans for engineering teams.
• Drive optical technology innovation, including lens design, product development, and new product introduction (NPI).
• Oversee the full product development lifecycle from concept, design, verification, and commercialization.
• Develop and implement business plans, development roadmaps, and cost management strategies to support sustainable growth.
• Monitor product line performance and operational results, making timely adjustments to meet business targets.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to resolve major technical and operational challenges.
• Establish and continuously improve R&D management systems, development processes, and quality standards.
• Lead team development by recruiting, mentoring, and retaining key technical and management talents.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Physics, Optical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. At least 15 years of experience in optical technology development, lens design, or product R&D.
3. Proven experience in leading R&D teams and managing product development programs.
4. Strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
5. Experience in product line management and new product introduction in manufacturing or high-technology industries will be advantageous.
