Senior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

1. Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender documentation for road and infrastructure works under the North South Corridor Project.
2. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project specifications.
3. Administer contracts, monitor project costs, and maintain accurate cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
5. Conduct site measurements and valuations for completed works and work-in-progress.
6. Liaise closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors on commercial and contractual matters.
7. Monitor project cash flow, forecast expenditures, and identify potential cost risks or savings opportunities.
8. Review contract documents to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications and regulatory requirements.
9. Support procurement activities including tender analysis, negotiation, and recommendation of subcontract awards.
10. Maintain proper documentation and reporting related to project costing, claims, variations, and contract administration.

Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of Quantity Surveying experience in road, MRT, highway, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, variation management and contract administration.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and QS-related software applications.
5. Good communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
