Responsibilities
- Review tender documents for completeness and update tender amendments and corrigenda to ensure accuracy
- Identify discrepancies in tender documents and raise queries to resolve issues promptly
- Perform precise measurements and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities for project estimation
- Coordinate tender submissions by calling for quotations, pricing, compiling PQM, and managing post-tender questionnaires
- Develop and maintain project budgets and cash flow forecasts to support financial planning
- Solicit subcontractor quotations, prepare cost comparisons and reports, negotiate terms, recommend awards, and draft subcontract agreements
- Liaise with consultants and clients to process monthly progress claims and monitor payments against cash flow projections
- Evaluate subcontractor claims and certify payments to ensure compliance with contract terms
- Track and submit variation orders, coordinating with consultants for assessment and approval
- Negotiate and finalize accounts with consultants and clients to close out projects effectively
- Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Contract Manager and management to support project delivery
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Building or Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or related roles
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with a positive learning and working attitude
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
