Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects. Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work. Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labor needed for MEP installations. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate quantity assessments. Develop and manage project budgets while ensuring effective cost control. Monitor cost variations and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures. Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the procurement process. Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers for competitiveness. Administer contracts related to MEP works, manage variations and claims. Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and resolve disputes as necessary. Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs. Work with design and construction teams to apply value engineering recommendations. Identify and assess risks related to cost and contracts, developing mitigation strategies. Generate regular cost reports for stakeholders on project financial status. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards in MEP construction. Perform cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects alongside other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial, commercial, or data center projects. Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems. Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, adaptable and flexible. Strong communication and facilitation skills.
