Senior / Quantity Surveyor

Gateway Search is proud to work with the service provider for turnkey power protection solutions. Due to their business expansion in Singapore, they are looking to bring on board a qualified Senior / Quantity Surveyor.

Job Summary

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our projects. You will be responsible for cost planning, budget management, contract administration and vendors negotiations, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle full scope of QS duties including but not limited to material take-off and variations.
• To check and review all specifications and technical requirements from tender documents.
• Identify potential contractual risks and provide mitigation strategies during the tender phase. Inform and assist team for cost estimate of additional works.
• Lead the measurement take-off process and prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Call for quotations, evaluate subcontractor bids, and formulate competitive tender pricing.
• Prepare for quotation & tender including quantity take-off for mechanical works.
• Manage project budget and costing.
• Maintain good rapport with subcontractors.
• Evaluate and certify sub-contractors progress payment.

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 5 years of post-qualification experience in quantity surveying, with substantial experience on large construction projects.
• Proven expertise in cost management, contract administration and commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Singapore construction regulations and industry standards is highly desirable.
