Senior Quantity Surveyor

Your Role

You will oversee and direct all aspects of quantity surveying for fast-paced interior fit-out projects, ensuring budgets are managed efficiently, contracts are properly administered, and commercial objectives are met.

You will be responsible for activities throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-contract planning to post-contract closure, including cost estimation, procurement management, and final account reconciliation, while offering expert financial guidance to project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead pre-construction activities, such as preparing cost estimates, budgets, tender documents, and evaluating bids

• Handle post-construction administration, including managing progress payments, variations, contract settlements, and final accounts

• Supervise procurement processes, from sourcing and tendering to negotiation and awarding contracts to subcontractors and suppliers

• Monitor and control project budgets and cash flow, ensuring alignment with financial objectives

• Review and process claims and variations, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency

• Provide guidance on commercial and contractual matters to project teams and management

• Analyze market trends, material pricing, and industry benchmarks to support accurate financial forecasting

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution

• Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors as needed

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering

• 5-8 years experience in quantity surveying or commercial management, preferably in interior fit-out or fast-track projects

• Strong knowledge of contracts, cost control, and procurement processes

• Proficient in MS Office and quantity surveying software

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines
