  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm (Saturday, 9am - 1pm)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, contracts, and commercial matters from pre-contract to post-contract stages. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, tender evaluation, contract administration, variation claims, and ensuring projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and compliance standards. Candidates with relevant interior design / interior fit-out project experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all quantity surveying and cost management activities for construction and interior fit-out projects

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender documents, and bills of quantities

  • Review tender submissions, analyse quotations, and recommend award of contracts

  • Administer contracts, including progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts

  • Monitor project costs, cash flow, and budget performance throughout the project lifecycle

  • Evaluate subcontractor claims and certify payments in accordance with contract terms

  • Prepare and negotiate variations, cost reports, and contractual claims

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters

  • Provide advice on procurement strategy, contract terms, and cost control measures

  • Ensure proper documentation and records for all contractual and financial matters

  • Identify cost risks and recommend solutions to minimize financial exposure

  • Support project teams in contract interpretation and dispute resolution

  • Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors where required

  • Attend meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to discuss project progress, commercial matters, and contractual issues

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and industry regulations

  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline

  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or contract administration

  • Candidates must have relevant Interior Design / Interior Fit-Out (ID) work experience

  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and tendering processes

  • Experience in handling pre-contract and post-contract administration

  • Good negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying/costing software

  • Knowledge or experience in using the ARIBA system and GeBIZ tender submission will be an added advantage

  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
