Get to know the Role:
In addition to playing the role of a Quantity Surveyor, a Lead Quantity Surveyor
- Supervising, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure highest professional standards and timeliness in delivery (for performance and growth)
- Ensuring that each member of the team is receiving the information they need to fulfil their responsibilities and that they do their part to maintain information so that it is current
- Oversee the establishment and maintenance of a consistent and adequate administration procedures
- Analysing information, reporting and recommendations to management particularly in the areas of prioritisation, cash-flow, commercial viability and implications of decisions
- Participating and providing direction to the project team, to achieve timely project deliverables
The Must-haves:
- Diploma / BSc degree holder in Building Science or Quantity Surveying from a recognized university
- Proficient knowledge in building and construction works with detailed knowledge for building processes
- Min 5-8 years experience in quantity surveying, contractual drafting
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Good planning and time management skills
- A dynamic, positive and forward-thinking personality with the ability to work under time pressure
The Nice-to-haves:
- Use of QS software, AutoCad, BIM, etc.
