Job Description
Labcorp is seeking a Senior Quality Control II / Supervisor to join our Bioanalytical team in Singapore.
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise the activities of team members to ensure that work is completed efficiently and in alignment with Labcorp policies.
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate targeted training programs to foster professional growth and optimize team performance.
- Proactively address and resolve complex operational issues, conflicts, and challenges by applying problem-solving skills.
- Ensure team members compliance to Labcorp SOPs and other regulatory agency guidelines.
- Provide mentorship, and performance feedback to team members, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing team productivity.
- Conduct regular and comprehensive performance evaluations, set individual and team objectives, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Prepare and present reports on team performance, operational metrics, and other relevant data to management team.
- Ensure team members with the sense of high-quality performance, lead the team to address client inquiries, and resolve issues.
- Gather and analyze client feedback from audits to consider any opportunity to enhancements and improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Review all types of methods, working documentation, study data and reports to ensure meet quality standards and compliance with applicable Plans, SOPs, regulations (e.g. GLPs, GCP) and client requirements.
- Maintains and seeks to expand a strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g. GLPs), SOP requirements, and other guidance documents. Applies existing knowledge to data review or training tasks.
- Takes a lead role in guiding co-workers with interpretation of regulatory requirements (e.g., GLPs), SOP requirements, and other guidance documents, as applicable.
- Collects error tracking data for items reviewed and reports trends as feedback to the department.
- Monitors error trend and performs follow-up actions with respondents, management, or others, if needed, to prevent recurring citations, problems, or errors.
- Initiates and facilitates quality improvement opportunities and harmonization efforts to promote best practices.
- Arranges internal employees training and assigns appropriate mentors for new employees.
- Participates in project debrief meetings or client/regulatory visits/inspection as needed.
- Communicates with global team on behalf of Shanghai for the quality control related topics.
- Utilizes scientific judgment to ensure scientific soundness and integrity of data reviewed and provide training to team members.
- Schedules staff and assigns resources to appropriate studies
- Notifies management or functional leaders of observed quality/compliance issues and service failures.
- Facilitates changes to SOPs, policies, training materials, and other documents as applicable.
- Identifies the improve opportunity of the whole team, organizes training to improve quality of QC team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field with ≥5 years relevant experience OR
- Bachelor's degree with ≥7 years relevant laboratory experience
- Experience may substitute for education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have experience of bioanalytical laboratory, data analysis, data review, or related experience.
- Familiar with the whole bioanalytical process and Knowledgeable on a variety of study types, analysis procedures and methodologies.
- Understands and helps staff with compliance to SOPs and other regulatory agency guidelines
- Effective communication (verbal and written), presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Acts as a project leader or team leader.
