Role Overview

The Senior QA Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our software platforms. This role combines hands‑on testing, automation leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration.


You will design and execute robust testing strategies, enhance automation rameworks, and guide teams toward best practices in quality engineering. Youwill work closely with developers, product teams, and business stakeholders toensure that releases meet expectations for reliability and user experience.

This role is suited to a proactive, detail‑oriented QA professional who thrives in fast‑paced, complex environments and can drive quality improvements across multiple product lines

Role Responsibilities

. Develop and own test strategies across manual and automated testing.

. Enhance and maintain automation frameworks and testing tools.

. Design, create, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts, including regression tests.

. Ensure defects are identified, documented, and resolved efficiently.

. Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to clarify requirements.

. Participate in agile ceremonies, providing QA insights and risk assessments.

. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test reliability.

. Maintain QA documentation, standards, and best practices.

. Provide guidance and mentoring to QA team members.

. Report test progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Experience / Competences

Essential

. Strong experience in software testing across complex, data-rich or transaction-heavy systems.

. Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright for automation testing, using programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.

. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools.

. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and defect management.

. Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.

. Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

. Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.

. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within agile teams.



Desired

. Experience testing UI‑based and workflow‑driven platforms.

. Experience using AI‑assisted tools to accelerate test creation, automation, analysis, and overall testing workflows.

. Experience leading QA initiatives or mentoring junior engineers.

. Experience generating test reports and automation dashboards.

. Understanding of financial systems or other regulated/complex environments.

. Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, or similar.

. Familiarity with SQL and data validation.

. Ability to influence quality culture across engineering teams.

. Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking capabilities.
