Job Description
A Warehouse Installation Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of warehouse setup, fit-out, automation and industrial installation projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, site execution, installation, testing, commissioning and final handover, while ensuring that projects are delivered safely, within budget, on schedule and in accordance with contractual and quality requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage project timelines, schedules, budgets and milestones from project award through final handover.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical and automation installation activities on-site.
- Oversee the installation and setup of material handling systems, including racking, conveyors, AS/RS, AGVs/AMRs and related WMS/WCS systems.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors and internal engineering teams.
- Identify potential delays, risks and cost impacts and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Manage contract variations and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Develop and monitor project programmes, resources and work procedures to ensure timely completion.
- Oversee civil, structural, architectural and M&E coordination.
- Manage project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality, safety and contractual requirements.
- Review construction drawings, technical submissions and method statements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and relevant authorities to resolve technical and site issues.
- Monitor project progress, costs, risks and subcontractor performance.
- Ensure compliance with QOSHE, ISO standards and statutory requirements.
- Support tender submissions, pricing, negotiations and tender interviews when required.
- Prepare and submit regular project progress reports and highlight key issues to the Project Director.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, UAT and project handover activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Nitec, Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant project management experience in warehouse automation, intralogistics or industrial installation projects.
- Strong familiarity with warehouse layouts, material handling technologies, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Good understanding of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and site safety procedures.
- Main-contractor experience is required.
- Experience managing projects through TOP/CSC and final handover is preferred.
- Strong project planning, leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple project stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong ability to manage project schedules, resources, costs, risks and subcontractor performance.
