About the Role
Our client, a leading innovator in banking software solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Singapore. This is a critical role where you will be instrumental in representing the company's projects, ensuring the successful delivery of complex implementations, and managing the development and deployment of cutting-edge banking AI products within the financial sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong problem-solving acumen, foundational technical understanding, and the ability to confidently navigate customer-facing situations independently. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between innovative AI technology and practical banking applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle, from planning and execution to successful delivery, for AI-focused initiatives designed to enhance core banking solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, technical teams, and other stakeholders to meticulously define project scope, gather comprehensive requirements, and develop robust, detailed project plans.
- Proactively manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
- Facilitate clear, consistent, and effective communication among team members, internal stakeholders, and external clients, fostering transparency and alignment throughout every stage of the project lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize potential project risks, particularly those related to complex implementations and core banking operations, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Continuously monitor project progress and performance against established metrics, making timely adjustments as necessary to achieve project objectives and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members, cultivating a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 8+ years of progressive project management experience, with a significant portion dedicated to developing and implementing software or systems within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
- Demonstrated and proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within the banking or financial services industry.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to effectively engage and manage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin language is essential for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and proficiency with relevant project management tools.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent project management certification.
