Job Description
1. Modular Construction Design Management
- Lead design management for modular construction projects, coordinating architectural, structural, MEP, and fire engineering disciplines.
- Developand implement DfMA design and modular technical solutions, ensuring constructability, manufacturability, transportability, and installability.
- Work closely with local project consultant teams (Architect, Structural Engineer, Fire Engineer, Building Surveyor, etc.) to support and deliver compliant architectural designs.
- Translate local regulations, design standards, and approval requirements into practical modular design solutions.
- Manage key design stages from concept through detailed and modular production design.
2. Digital Design & BIM Management
- Lead the application of digital design and BIM for modular construction.
- PromoteBIM-based modular design methods, including parametric module modelling and digital definition of interfaces and connections.
- Ensure BIM outputs support detailed design, factory manufacturing, installation planning, and technical coordination.
- Support the use of BIM deliverables in modular product standardisation and continuous improvement.
3. Modular Product Development & R&D
- Develop modular building product systems, including module typologies, dimensional systems, structural concepts, and construction details.
- Drive standardisation, modularisation, and platform-based product development.
- Participate in R&D for modular structural systems, critical connections, and technical optimisation to support product iteration.
4. Design Quality & Technical Standards
- Establish and maintain design quality control systems and technical standards for modular construction
- Develop and implement design guidelines, technical specifications, and standard details
- Based on local regulations and project design requirements, support material selection, product assessment, and supplier pre-qualification for modular building components
- Participate in design reviews and technical assessments to ensure compliance, performance and quality
5. Manufacturing Design & Technical Interface
- Act as the primary design and technical interface between the design team and modular manufacturing facilities.
- Review modular detailed design, fabrication drawings, and BIM deliverables.
- Resolve design-to-manufacturing coordination issues and ensure alignment between design intent and production processes.
- Ensure designs achieve manufacturability, quality consistency, and cost efficiency.
6. Technical Support & Cross-Team Coordination
- Provide ongoing technical and design support to project teams.
- Support the Project Manager in execution activities, with early involvement from project planning stage onwards.
- Assist technical decision-making during project planning, design development, production preparation, and site delivery stages.
- Coordinate technical collaboration across design, manufacturing, project management, logistics, and site teams.
- Participate in technical meetings, presentations, and external stakeholder communications.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Engineering/Architecture/Construction Management/Project Management, recognized by Board of Architects/Professional Engineering Board/BCA.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in built environment
- Knowledgeable in project management processes for all stages of project
- Proficient in MS Project and MS Office
- Passion in people and project management
- Self motivated and able to work under pressure
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
- Good written and communication skills
